Official VMM-264 Airframes Plank Owner PVC Patch
Original airframers of the Black Knights' Osprey era.
Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 264 (VMM-264), the Black Knights, transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey as part of the Marine Corps' ongoing modernization of its assault support helicopter fleet. "Plank Owner" is a naval tradition designating the original crew members present when a ship or unit is first commissioned or undergoes a major transition — in this case, the airframes personnel who were there when VMM-264 stood up or transitioned to the Osprey. Airframers are the structural backbone of any aviation squadron, responsible for maintaining the aircraft's fuselage, wings (or proprotors), flight controls, and hydraulic systems. This PVC patch recognizes the original airframes Marines who built the Black Knights' Osprey program from the ground up.
Perfect For:
VMM-264 Black Knights plank owners, MV-22 Osprey airframe maintainers, MAG-26 personnel, MCAS New River community members, and Marine tiltrotor PVC patch collectors.
