Official VMM-164 Hollow Knights Halloween Patch - Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (VMM-164) Knightriders seasonal Halloween morale PVC patch, MAG-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS Camp Pendleton.
When the Knightriders ride at Halloween, the armor gets darker, the motto stays the same, and the patch tells the whole story in one piece.
VMM-164 was activated on July 1, 1964, and has carried the Knightriders name through Vietnam, Desert Storm, Operation Restore Hope, and a full transition from the CH-46E Sea Knight to the MV-22B Osprey in April 2015. The squadron flies under Marine Aircraft Group 39 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing out of MCAS Camp Pendleton, with a motto of Against All Odds that has followed the unit across every aircraft and every era. Marine squadrons have a long tradition of producing limited-run morale patches tied to holidays, deployments, and unit milestones, and the Hollow Knights Halloween design fits squarely in that tradition. It takes the Knightriders identity and gives it a seasonal edge, the kind of patch that circulates among crews, maintainers, and families during the fall and becomes a harder find once the season passes. In a recent Horn of Africa deployment, VMM-164 operated across Djibouti, Somalia, Gabon, Malawi, Cameroon, and Kenya, a reminder that the Knightriders carry real operational weight behind every piece of unit art. A Halloween patch from a squadron with that kind of history is more than a seasonal novelty; it is a dated snapshot of unit culture from a community that takes both its mission and its morale seriously.
Perfect For: VMM-164 Knightriders active-duty members and veterans, MV-22B Osprey aircrew and maintainers, MAG-39 and 3rd MAW personnel, MCAS Camp Pendleton Marines, Halloween patch collectors, seasonal morale patch enthusiasts, Marine aviation unit-history collectors, shadow box builders, deployment keepsake displays, and family members who want a piece that captures the lighter side of a serious squadron's identity.
Hollow Knights, one night a year — Knightriders, every flight, every mission, every time.
If you want to swap patches on/off gear, choose hook & loop (velcro). If you’re attaching permanently to uniforms or fabric, choose sew-on. If you want quick application on compatible fabric, choose iron-on / heat seal (when offered). Backing options are shown on the page and update based on the variant you select.
Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.
If the product is officially licensed, it will say “Officially Licensed” in the title and/or in the product details. If it doesn’t, it’s still a legitimate product—just not part of a licensed program.
