Official VMFA-542 Tigers Name Tags - Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 542 (VMFA-542) Tigers Official Embroidered Name Tags, MCAS Cherry Point, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.

Eight decades of Tigers identity, from Pacific night skies to fifth-generation strike missions, stitched into every thread.

VMFA-542 carries one of the longest and most decorated lineages in Marine Corps aviation. The squadron was commissioned on 6 March 1944 as a night fighter unit and flew combat missions over Okinawa before cycling through the F7F Tigercat, F3D Skyknight, F4D Skyray, and F-4B Phantom II across the Korean and Vietnam eras. During the Vietnam War the Tigers flew close air support, interdiction, and escort missions across multiple combat tours in Southeast Asia. After transitioning through the AV-8A and AV-8B Harrier, the squadron deployed in support of Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom before redesignating as VMFA-542 in December 2022 and becoming the first East Coast F-35B fleet squadron in the Marine Corps in 2023. Today the Tigers operate under Marine Aircraft Group 14 and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, executing close-air support, offensive anti-air warfare, strike coordination, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare missions. Official name tags carry that full weight of identity, connecting the wearer directly to the Tigers callsign and the squadron's unbroken record of combat readiness across every generation of Marine aviation.

Perfect for VMFA-542 Tigers aircrew, maintainers, and support personnel requiring official squadron name tags, as well as veterans of VMA-542 and earlier Tiger designations, Marine aviation collectors, MAG-14 and 2nd MAW alumni, F-35B community members, deployment keepsake builders, shadow box displays, and family members who want a precise, unit-verified piece tied to one of the Marine Corps' most storied fighter attack squadrons.

Tigers lineage, officially marked and ready for the flight suit, the shadow box, and the collection.
