Official VAQ-141 Shadowhawks Gray Tail Flash Patch — Electronic Attack Squadron 141 EA-18G Growler NAS Whidbey Island Embroidered Patch

Low-vis gray, high-end spectrum dominance — the Shadowhawks own the electromagnetic battlefield.

Electronic Attack Squadron 141 (VAQ-141), the "Shadowhawks," is a US Navy carrier-deployable electronic attack squadron based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, currently flying the Boeing EA-18G Growler. Commissioned on July 1, 1987 at NAS Whidbey Island as the third EA-6B Prowler squadron, VAQ-141 made its combat debut as the Carrier Air Wing EIGHT (CVW-8) electronic attack element aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) in Operation Desert Storm in 1991, providing High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) shooter and stand-off jamming support for coalition strike packages over Iraq. The Shadowhawks subsequently flew the Prowler from carrier decks and forward bases — Aviano, Incirlik, Bagram, Al Asad — through Operations Deny Flight, Allied Force, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom. In 2010 the squadron transitioned from the EA-6B to the EA-18G Growler, becoming one of the first carrier air wing electronic attack squadrons to bring the Navy's fifth-generation airborne electronic attack platform to the fleet. Since then VAQ-141 has remained continuously deployed with CVW-5 aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) and USS George Washington (CVN-73) as part of the forward-deployed naval forces (FDNF) air wing in Yokosuka, Japan, supporting Indo-Pacific theater security cooperation and joint exercises with Japan, Korea, and Australia. This low-visibility gray tail-flash patch reflects the Growler's modern stealth-era paint scheme.

Perfect For: VAQ-141 Shadowhawks active-duty and veteran personnel, EA-18G Growler pilots, electronic warfare officers (EWOs), and maintainers, NAS Whidbey Island residents, EA-6B Prowler heritage enthusiasts, Carrier Air Wing 5 personnel, FDNF Japan veterans, and naval aviation electronic attack community supporters.

Shadowhawks — spectrum dominance, gray and quiet.
