Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 14 (HS-14), the Chargers, was a U.S. Navy helicopter squadron that operated the H-3 Sea King as part of Pacific Fleet carrier air wings. The Chargers deployed aboard aircraft carriers to conduct anti-submarine warfare, combat search and rescue, and utility operations across the Pacific and Indian Oceans. HS-14's Pacific deployments took them to some of the most strategically vital waters in the world, where they tracked submarine contacts and stood ready to rescue downed aviators. The Chargers were known for their aggressive tactical approach to the ASW mission.
