Official US Army 45th Dust Off Air Amb Sticker - 45th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) DUSTOFF Vietnam-Era Heritage Vinyl Sticker.

Dedicated Unhesitating Service To Our Fighting Forces — the full weight of that callsign carried on every mission the 45th flew.

The 45th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) was activated in June 1960 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and deployed to Vietnam in July 1967, arriving at Tan Son Nhut Air Base ready to fly. Stationed at Long Binh, the unit provided medevac coverage across III and IV Corps tactical areas, evacuating American, Korean, Australian, New Zealand, and South Vietnamese patients from some of the most contested ground in the theater. Flying unarmed UH-1 Hueys into active fire, the 45th's crews faced loss rates to hostile fire that ran more than three times higher than other helicopter missions in the war. Through the Tet Counteroffensive and beyond, the unit kept flying. One of its most decorated moments came on 2 October 1969, when CW3 Michael Novosel, attached to the 45th, extracted 29 wounded soldiers under direct fire and was later awarded the Medal of Honor. By the time the 45th stood down on 30 March 1971, it had evacuated more than 115,831 patients across its three-year Vietnam tour. The unit's legacy extended further still, later becoming the first MEDEVAC company from Europe to deploy in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. This vinyl sticker carries that full arc of service — from the rice paddies of Long Binh to the sands of the Gulf.

Perfect For: Army medevac veterans, 45th Medical Company alumni, Vietnam War historians, DUSTOFF Association members, Army aviation collectors, shadow box builders, military vehicle displays, veteran reunion gifts, family tribute boards, and anyone honoring the pilots, medics, and crew chiefs who flew unarmed into harm's way to bring the wounded home.

115,831 patients. One callsign. A legacy that never stood down.
