Official TRAWING-5 Name Tag - Training Air Wing Five (TRAWING-5), Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Embroidered Name Tag Patch.

Where naval aviators are made — TRAWING-5 at NAS Whiting Field carries the full weight of the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard flight training pipeline on its flight lines every single day.

Training Air Wing Five has been the backbone of Naval Air Training Command since January 1972, operating out of Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Florida. The wing runs three fixed-wing primary training squadrons alongside three rotary-wing advanced training squadrons, producing aviators for the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and international allies. NAS Whiting Field supports approximately sixty percent of all primary fixed-wing flight training and one hundred percent of all initial helicopter training across those services, making TRAWING-5 one of the most consequential training commands in American military aviation. Roughly 1,200 student naval aviators complete flight training through the wing each year, guided by a cadre of fleet-experienced instructors who bring operational depth to every syllabus event. Primary students fly the T-6B Texan II from North Whiting Field while advanced helicopter students train in the TH-73A Thrasher at South Whiting Field. A name tag tied to this command carries the identity of that entire pipeline — the instructors, the students, the maintainers, and the mission that turns motivated officers into fleet-ready aviators.

Perfect For: TRAWING-5 veterans and alumni, NAS Whiting Field instructors and staff, student naval aviators who earned their wings through the wing, Navy and Marine Corps helicopter pilots, Coast Guard aviators, flight training command collectors, shadow box displays, reunion keepsakes, unit history boards, and families who want a clean tribute to the people behind the Navy's primary and advanced aviation training mission.

TRAWING-5 identity, stitched for the instructors, the students, and the wings they earned together.
