Official SERGRAD WTI Shoulder Patch - Marine Corps Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course Senior Graduate Officially Licensed Embroidered Shoulder Patch, MAWTS-1, MCAS Yuma.

Senior Graduate. Top of the class. The one name called when the hardest seven weeks in Marine aviation are finally over.

The Weapons and Tactics Instructor course is the Marine Corps' premier graduate-level aviation training program, run twice each year by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona. Commissioned on 1 June 1978, MAWTS-1 built the WTI course into the central engine of Marine aviation readiness, producing over 300 graduates annually from every community in the Corps — fixed-wing, rotary-wing, tiltrotor, UAV, forward air controllers, artillery, and command and control. The seven-week evolution moves from classroom academics through escalating live exercises, integrating air and ground forces against realistic adversary representations to stress-test tactics, weapons employment, and combined arms planning under conditions that mirror combat. At the end of each course, one graduate earns the SERGRAD designation — Senior Graduate — recognizing the top performer across the entire class. That distinction carries weight in every squadron, wing, and MAGTF the graduate returns to, because WTI graduates are placed in training billets throughout Marine aviation to serve as the unit's subject matter experts on aircraft, weapons, and tactics. The SERGRAD patch is the embroidered record of that achievement, worn on the shoulder and recognized immediately by anyone who has been through Yuma.

Perfect For: WTI Senior Graduates, MAWTS-1 alumni, Marine aviators from all platforms, forward air controllers, ground combat officers who attended WTI, squadron training officers, Marine Corps aviation collectors, shadow box displays, flight suit patches, reunion gifts, and anyone who wants to honor the Marine who finished first in the hardest aviation course the Corps runs. It also makes a meaningful keepsake for families and supporters who understand what seven weeks in Yuma actually demands.

Earned in Yuma, worn with the weight of every evolution it took to finish first.
