MWSS-174's firefighters provide Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) capability on Kaneohe Bay's airfield, standing ready during every flight operation to respond to aircraft emergencies. In Hawaii's Pacific environment, MWSS-174's CFR team protects tiltrotor, helicopter, and UAS operations at one of the most important Marine air stations in the Indo-Pacific.
