Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), based at MCAS Yuma, Arizona, is the Marine Corps' premier tactical aviation training organization, responsible for conducting the Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course that produces the Corps' top aviation tacticians. The Expeditionary Ordnance section within MAWTS-1 focuses on the planning, delivery, and integration of aviation-delivered ordnance in expeditionary environments — ensuring that Marine aviation can bring precision firepower to bear from austere forward locations. This glow-in-the-dark PVC patch represents the ordnance professionals who ensure every weapon is properly configured, fused, and delivered on target.
