**Official MALS-16 Powerplants Patch — USMC Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron Miramar Embroidered Patch**

No aircraft launches without the Powerplants shop. MALS-16 keeps the engines turning for every squadron at Miramar — and this patch represents the Marines who make it happen.

MALS-16, the "Immortals," provides aviation logistics support, intermediate-level maintenance, and supply operations for Marine Aircraft Group 16 at MCAS Miramar under 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. Activated on March 1, 1952, as Headquarters Squadron 16, the unit deployed to Japan, served in Vietnam providing support for one of the largest Marine Air Groups in Corps history, and established multiple firsts during Desert Storm in 1990 — including being the first MALS to deploy, the first to deploy in support of combat operations, and the first to deploy aboard an Aviation Logistics Support Ship. MALS-16 earned the Department of Defense "Phoenix Award" and has continued to support operations from Somalia to the present day. The Powerplants shop is the engine maintenance division responsible for keeping every airframe in MAG-16 mission-ready.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.

If the product is officially licensed, it will say “Officially Licensed” in the title and/or in the product details. If it doesn’t, it’s still a legitimate product—just not part of a licensed program.
