Official HSM-35 Magicians 4th of July commemorative patch and name tags.
Stars, stripes, and Seahawks — Magicians fly the 4th from North Island.
Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 35 (HSM-35), the "Magicians," is a U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk and MQ-8B Fire Scout composite expeditionary squadron based at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, California, operating under tail code TG. HSM-35 was established on May 2, 2013 at NAS North Island as the Navy's first composite expeditionary helicopter squadron — purpose-built to operate both the manned MH-60R and the unmanned MQ-8B Fire Scout side-by-side from littoral combat ships and other Pacific Fleet warships. The squadron's lineage runs back to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 35 (HSL-35), which was commissioned in 1974 at NAS North Island and disestablished in 1992. Today the Magicians field roughly nine MH-60Rs and two MQ-8B Fire Scouts with more than 280 personnel, sending detachments aboard RAST-capable frigates, destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers, and the LCS class to deliver anti-submarine warfare, surface warfare, electronic warfare, command and control, search and rescue, and mobility for the Pacific Fleet. This 4th of July commemorative patch and accompanying name tag set is the Magicians' Independence Day calling card — a salute to the squadron, its LAMPS heritage, and every Sailor who stood the flight line on the 4th, watching the fireworks light up Coronado Bay. Wear the patch, run the name tags, and represent.
Perfect For: HSM-35 Magicians active-duty and veteran personnel, MH-60R Seahawk pilots and aircrew, MQ-8B Fire Scout operators, NAS North Island Sailors, Pacific Fleet helicopter community members, HSL-35 plankowners, and 4th of July squadron commemorative collectors.
