Official HMH-465 Warhorse Big Fan Don't Blow Shoulder Patch - Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 (HMH-465) Warhorse CH-53E Super Stallion Embroidered Shoulder Patch.

Warhorse heavy-lift pride, Super Stallion power, and Marine assault support identity in one embroidered shoulder patch.

Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465, known as Warhorse, is a United States Marine Corps helicopter squadron consisting of CH-53E Super Stallion transport helicopters. The squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California and falls under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 16 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. Established on 1 December 1981 as the first West Coast squadron to fly the CH-53E Super Stallion, it became the Marine Corps' second and Marine Aircraft Group 16's first CH-53E Squadron. The Warhorses deployed and flew in combat for the first time during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm and provided heavy lift support for I MEF throughout the entire conflict. Elements of HMH-465 attached to the 15th MEU in 2001 participated in the initial invasion of Afghanistan from October 2001 to December 2001, and the Warhorses have deployed numerous times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Home-station troop transport training keeps the crew mission ready to assist Marines. This embroidered shoulder patch connects Warhorse identity and Super Stallion heavy-lift lineage to flight gear, patch panels, and shadow boxes for veterans, families, and collectors who want a squadron-specific Marine aviation piece.

Perfect For: HMH-465 Warhorse veterans, CH-53E Super Stallion aircrew and maintainers, Marine Aircraft Group 16 and 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing alumni, Desert Storm and later combat-deployment veterans, shadow box builders, patch panel collectors, reunion gifts, and families preserving Marine heavy-lift assault support heritage. It also fits collectors building unit-history displays around Miramar squadrons, Super Stallion operations, and the Marines who carry the heavy lift mission.

Warhorse heritage, kept for the board, the bag, and the shadow box.
