Official Gray Flag 2026 PVC Glow Patch — Naval Test Wing Pacific Large Force Test Event Point Mugu Sea Range Embroidered PVC Glow-in-the-Dark Patch

Naval aviation's premier large-force test event — Gray Flag 2026, lit up over the Point Mugu Sea Range.

Gray Flag is the United States naval aviation test community's premier large-force test event, hosted annually by Naval Test Wing Pacific (NTWP) and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 9 (VX-9) at Naval Base Ventura County / NAS Point Mugu, California, on the Point Mugu Sea Range. The Sea Range — a 36,000-square-mile instrumented sea and airspace operated by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) — provides the unique combination of open ocean, restricted airspace, and instrumentation density required to flight-test integrated weapons, sensors, networks, and tactics across services and coalition partners. Gray Flag 2024, conducted in September 2024, brought together more than 3,000 personnel from the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force to execute over 60 test initiatives, approximately 600 aircraft sorties, and more than 26 unique systems tested on the ground — and was described by NAWCWD leadership as the most expansive interoperability event to date, integrating allied partners, academic and industry collaborators, and Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) test elements. Gray Flag 2025 ran September 5–19, 2025 at NAS Point Mugu and continued the focus on large-scale integration of new capabilities across services, platforms, the Joint Force, industry, and allied nations. Gray Flag 2026 carries that tradition forward — testing tomorrow's fleet capabilities today. This PVC glow-in-the-dark patch celebrates the test event, the test pilots, the flight test engineers, and the Sea Range that make it all possible.

Perfect For: VX-9 Vampires, VX-30 Bloodhounds, VX-31 Dust Devils, and Naval Test Wing Pacific personnel, NAWCWD test engineers and instrumentation specialists, US Naval Test Pilot School graduates, NAS Point Mugu and Naval Base Ventura County residents, joint and coalition partners participating in Gray Flag, and naval aviation flight test community supporters.
