Official ESB-8 (White Tiger) Shoulder Patch - USNS Hector A. Cafferata Jr. (ESB-8) Expeditionary Sea Base crew insignia, embroidered shoulder patch.

White Tiger ferocity, forward-deployed reach, and the final chapter of the Navy's most capable sea-basing program stitched into one official crew patch.

ESB-8, christened USNS Hector A. Cafferata Jr. in San Diego by General Dynamics NASSCO, is the sixth and final vessel in the U.S. Navy's Expeditionary Sea Base program. The ship honors Marine Corps Private First Class Hector A. Cafferata Jr., a Medal of Honor recipient celebrated for extraordinary bravery during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir in the Korean War. Built under a 2022 contract focused on modernizing staging, aviation, command and control, and berthing support, ESB-8 carries the full capability suite of the Lewis B. Puller class. Its four-spot flight deck and hangar accommodate H-53, H-60, V-22 tilt-rotor, and H-1 aircraft, along with unmanned aerial systems. The platform supports Special Operations Forces staging, Air Mine Countermeasures, counter-piracy operations, maritime security, humanitarian aid, and Marine Corps crisis response across a range of 9,500 nautical miles. The White Tiger crew identity captures the aggressive readiness and quiet lethality that define ESB operations, giving this shoulder patch a direct connection to the sailors and civilian mariners who keep the final ship of the class mission-ready wherever the fleet needs it most.

Perfect For: U.S. Navy ESB-8 crew members and veterans, Military Sealift Command sailors, Special Operations Forces supporters, Naval Surface Force collectors, Marine Corps historians honoring Hector A. Cafferata Jr., shadow box builders, deployment keepsake displays, challenge coin and patch boards, reunion gifts, and anyone assembling a serious collection around the Expeditionary Sea Base program, Medal of Honor namesake ships, or the forward-deployed platforms that extend Navy reach without a traditional hull.

White Tiger heritage, the final ESB, and a Medal of Honor name carried forward on every deployment.
