Official ESB-7 Nine Tails Patch - USS Robert E. Simanek (ESB-7) Lewis B. Puller-Class Expeditionary Sea Base Embroidered Patch.

Nine Tails cunning, Simanek courage, and the RISING TOGETHER spirit of the Navy's most flexible forward platform at sea.

USS Robert E. Simanek (ESB-7) is the fifth vessel of the Lewis B. Puller-class expeditionary sea base program, christened in May 2024 at General Dynamics NASSCO in San Diego and delivered to Military Sealift Command later that year. The ship honors Private First Class Robert Ernest Simanek, a United States Marine awarded the Medal of Honor for shielding fellow Marines from a grenade at the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Korean War in August 1952. The official ship crest reflects that heritage directly: Marine Corps red and gold fill the shield, olive green seahorses mark his service with the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, and a fox in the crest represents Fox Company and Simanek's quick, adaptive thinking under fire. Five stars on the wavy bend identify ESB-7 as the fifth hull in its class. At 785 feet and nearly 90,000 tons fully loaded, the Simanek operates as a floating forward base capable of supporting special operations forces, mine countermeasures, helicopter and MV-22 Osprey flight operations, and large-scale logistics movements across contested or austere maritime environments. The Nine Tails crew identity carries that same adaptive, mission-ready character into every deployment, making this embroidered patch a meaningful piece for anyone connected to the ship's commissioning era and early operational history.

Perfect For: USS Robert E. Simanek crew members and veterans, ESB program collectors, Military Sealift Command supporters, Navy special operations enthusiasts, Lewis B. Puller-class ship historians, Korean War Medal of Honor tribute collectors, shadow box displays, patch boards, deployment keepsakes, reunion gifts, and anyone building a serious U.S. Navy expeditionary platform collection that spans the full ESB lineage from Puller to Simanek.

Nine Tails heritage, stitched for the crew that rises together wherever the mission demands.
