The 601st Aviation Support Battalion, known as Dragon Support, provides aviation intermediate maintenance, supply support, and logistics for Army aviation units. The battalion performs complex maintenance on helicopters including the UH-60 Black Hawk, AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, and other rotary-wing aircraft, ensuring that Army aviation maintains the readiness needed to support ground combat operations. As an Air Assault designated unit, the 601st ASB maintains the highest standards of readiness and rapid deployment capability.
