Official 498th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) Dustoff Sticker - U.S. Army 498th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) Dustoff heritage vinyl sticker honoring the unit's aeromedical evacuation legacy from Vietnam through Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dedicated, unhesitating service to the fighting forces — the Dustoff standard, carried by the 498th across every mission, every landing zone, and every unarmed approach into fire.
The 498th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) was activated at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, in September 1964 and deployed to the Republic of Vietnam in 1965, where it flew UH-1 Huey helicopters on combat aeromedical evacuation missions across the II Corps Tactical Zone. Operating unarmed into active contact, the company's pilots, medics, and crew answered calls that other aircraft could not, pulling wounded soldiers from the field and moving them toward care fast enough to change survival odds. After Vietnam, the unit relocated to Fort Benning, Georgia, and continued its MEDEVAC mission through stateside Military Assistance to Safety and Traffic duties and subsequent deployments, including Operation Iraqi Freedom, where the 498th became the first Army Dustoff unit attached to the Marines in combat. The Dustoff callsign itself, now synonymous with Army aeromedical evacuation and backed by the motto Dedicated Unhesitating Service To Our Fighting Forces, defines what the 498th represented across every era of its service. This vinyl sticker carries that identity in a durable, weather-resistant format suited for helmets, water bottles, gear cases, vehicle windows, shadow box frames, and unit-history displays.
Perfect For: Army MEDEVAC veterans, 498th Medical Company alumni, Dustoff Association members, Vietnam War historians, air ambulance crew families, UH-1 Huey enthusiasts, military medical collectors, deployment keepsake displays, shadow boxes, reunion tables, and anyone building a unit-history collection around Army aeromedical evacuation heritage and the crews who flew unarmed into harm's way to bring the wounded home.
498th Dustoff heritage, pressed into vinyl for the crews, the families, and the mission that never waited.
