**US Navy Official VA-93 Blue Blazers Sticker — Attack Squadron Vinyl Sticker**

VA-93 Blue Blazers — from Korean War combat in F9F Cougars off the teakwood deck of USS Philippine Sea to pioneering night armed reconnaissance flights over North Vietnam. This squadron's 34-year history reads like a map of every Cold War hotspot in the Pacific.

VA-93 was established as Fighter Squadron VF-93 on 26 March 1952 at NAS Alameda, California. The squadron first saw combat during the Korean War, flying F9F-8 Cougars from USS Philippine Sea. A globe-circling cruise aboard USS Hornet followed in 1954, and after redesignation as Attack Squadron VA-93 in September 1956, the Blue Blazers transitioned to the Douglas A4D-1 Skyhawk. In December 1964, VA-93 flew the first night armed reconnaissance flights over North Vietnam from USS Ranger — a dangerous mission requiring precision flying in total darkness over hostile territory. The squadron progressed through A-4 variants before transitioning to the A-7 Corsair II in 1969. As part of CVW-5 aboard USS Midway, VA-93 was forward-deployed to Yokosuka, Japan — part of the Navy's pioneering program to permanently station a carrier and air wing overseas. The squadron changed its nickname to "Ravens" in 1976 and flew off Midway for the last time on 24 March 1986. VA-93 was disestablished on 31 August 1986.
