MWSS-372 provides the expeditionary ground support capability that gives the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing its ability to operate from anywhere. This officially licensed patch represents the Marines who can turn a bare patch of desert into a functioning airfield and keep it running under any conditions.
MWSS-372 provides expeditionary airfield operations, engineer support, bulk fuel distribution, motor transport, communications, and ground defense for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and its deployed elements. The squadron's Marines are trained in the rapid construction and sustainment of aviation operating bases, providing the infrastructure that allows Marine tactical and assault support aircraft to project power from forward locations. MWSS-372 has deployed worldwide in support of combat operations and contingency missions, establishing aviation operating bases that have enabled decisive Marine air operations.
