MWSS-371 provides the critical ground support that keeps 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing aviation operations running on the West Coast and deployed locations worldwide. This officially licensed patch represents the Marines who build, fuel, and defend the bases that Marine air power depends on in some of the harshest environments imaginable.
MWSS-371 provides expeditionary airfield operations, engineer support, bulk fuel distribution, motor transport, communications, and ground defense for the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The squadron's Marines have deployed to Southwest Asia, supporting aviation operations during Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Whether establishing expeditionary airfields in the desert or sustaining operations at permanent installations, MWSS-371 delivers the ground support infrastructure that enables Marine aviation combat power.
