This patch carries one of the most famous quotes in military history.
Chesty Puller is the most decorated Marine in the history of the Corps, receiving five Navy Crosses during a career that spanned Haiti, Nicaragua, World War II, and Korea. At the Chosin Reservoir in December 1950, Puller led his 1st Marine Regiment through one of the most brutal fighting withdrawals in military history, with Chinese forces surrounding the Marines in sub-zero temperatures. His legendary response to the encirclement became the defining statement of Marine Corps attitude — that being surrounded simply means you have more targets. Puller's leadership at Chosin, combined with his lifelong reputation for fearlessness and devotion to his Marines, made him the embodiment of everything the Corps stands for.
