The Desperados of MALS-41 are the aviation logistics force behind MAG-41's reserve combat aviation capability. Based at NAS JRB Fort Worth, these citizen Marines maintain the same rigorous standards as their active duty counterparts, keeping reserve F/A-18 Hornets and KC-130 Hercules aircraft mission-ready.

MALS-41 serves as the aviation logistics squadron for Marine Aircraft Group 41 within the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing. The Desperados provide intermediate-level maintenance, avionics support, aviation supply, and ordnance services to MAG-41's squadrons. When activated, MALS-41 Marines have deployed alongside active component logistics units, seamlessly integrating into combat support operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. The squadron's reserve Marines bring unique expertise from their civilian careers in aviation maintenance, engineering, and logistics, making them a force multiplier for Marine aviation's Total Force concept.
