Marine Air Base Squadron 15 served as the base operations element of MAG-15, providing the full spectrum of airfield support including aircraft rescue and firefighting, aviation fuels, ground electronics maintenance, motor transport, communications, and base security. The squadron's Marines were responsible for maintaining safe and efficient aviation operations in both garrison and deployed environments, ensuring that MAG-15's tactical aircraft always had the infrastructure support needed to complete their missions.
