HMM-261 "Raging Bulls" was commissioned on September 10, 1951, and became one of the Marine Corps' most deployed medium helicopter squadrons. Flying the CH-46 Sea Knight, the Raging Bulls deployed to Vietnam, Desert Storm, Somalia (Operation Restore Hope), and Haiti before transitioning to the MV-22B Osprey and redesignating as VMM-261. This patch preserves the Raging Bulls' CH-46 era identity.
