Official HMH-361 Flying Tigers Okinawa Patch — Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361 Flying Tigers UDP 18.2 Okinawa Embroidered Patch

The Flying Tigers on Okinawa — HMH-361 deploying to the Pacific with the CH-53E Super Stallion for UDP rotation 18.2, heavy-lift power in the Indo-Pacific.

Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361 (HMH-361), the "Flying Tigers," is a USMC heavy-lift helicopter squadron operating the CH-53E Super Stallion. This patch commemorates HMH-361's Unit Deployment Program (UDP) rotation 18.2 to Okinawa, Japan, where the Flying Tigers provided heavy-lift helicopter capability to III Marine Expeditionary Force and the forward-deployed Marine forces in the Western Pacific.

The CH-53E Super Stallion is the Marine Corps' heavy-lift helicopter, capable of carrying 16 tons of external cargo or transporting combat-equipped Marines across the battlefield. During the UDP rotation on Okinawa, HMH-361 operated across the island chain and participated in exercises and training events that maintained readiness for potential contingencies in the Indo-Pacific theater. The Super Stallion's heavy-lift capability is essential for moving artillery, vehicles, supplies, and equipment that exceed the capacity of lighter helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft.

UDP rotations send continental U.S.-based squadrons to the Pacific for approximately six months, providing operational experience in the theater and maintaining the Marine Corps' forward presence.

Perfect For: HMH-361 Flying Tigers members from UDP 18.2, CH-53E Super Stallion community, Okinawa-based Marines, III MEF personnel, and Marine deployment patch collectors.

HMH-361 Flying Tigers — UDP 18.2 Okinawa — heavy metal in the Pacific, Tigers on the prowl.
