ROK Republic of Korea Marines Patch — Embroidered Patch
The Invincible Marines — Republic of Korea Marine Corps
They earned their name on the frozen battlefields of Korea and cemented it in the jungles of Vietnam. The Republic of Korea Marine Corps — known as the "Ghost-Catching Marines" and the "Invincible Marines" — carries a reputation forged in blood, discipline, and an unbroken record on the battlefield. This patch represents one of the most feared and respected marine forces in the Asia-Pacific region.
Founded on April 15, 1949, at Deoksan Airfield in Chinhae with just 380 men, the ROKMC was thrust into combat during the Korean War just over a year later, fighting at Inchon, Seoul, Wonsan, and dozens of other engagements. During the Vietnam War, the ROKMC's 2nd Marine Brigade — the legendary "Blue Dragon Brigade" — deployed to Da Nang and fought alongside U.S. Marines in I Corps. Today the ROKMC fields approximately 29,000 personnel organized into two divisions and two independent brigades, defending South Korea's critical Northwest Islands and standing ready as the nation's rapid-reaction amphibious force against North Korean aggression.
Perfect For: ROK Marines past and present, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans who served alongside Korean Marines, USMC personnel who trained with ROK counterparts during Ssang Yong or Foal Eagle exercises, and supporters of the U.S.-ROK alliance.
Invincible on every battlefield — the ROK Marines.
