US Army Delta Force Patch — Embroidered Patch
The Unit — 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta
The Pentagon has never officially confirmed their existence. Their missions are classified. Their operators are ghosts. But everyone knows the name: Delta Force — the U.S. Army's premier tier-one special mission unit and one of the most elite military forces ever assembled. This patch represents the quiet professionals who operate in the shadows.
Delta Force — officially designated 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D) and also known as the Combat Applications Group (CAG), Army Compartmented Elements (ACE), and Task Force Green — was established on 19 November 1977 by Colonel Charles Beckwith, a Special Forces veteran inspired by his time with the British SAS. Headquartered at Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty), North Carolina, Delta Force operates under the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) and is tasked with counterterrorism, hostage rescue, direct action, and special reconnaissance against high-value targets. From the failed Iranian hostage rescue in 1980 to the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993, from hunting Saddam Hussein in 2003 to the raid that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in 2019, Delta operators have been at the tip of America's most dangerous spear for nearly five decades.
Perfect For: Special operations supporters, Army SOF veterans, JSOC enthusiasts, military history collectors, and anyone who respects the operators who work where no one else can.
Sine Pari — Without Equal. Delta Force.
