Vietnam Combat Air Crew Patch — Embroidered Patch
Above the Canopy, Into the Fire
This wasn't a training exercise. This was Vietnam — where combat aircrew flew into hostile landing zones, dodged tracers through monsoon clouds, and brought their Marines home through hell itself. The Vietnam Combat Air Crew patch is a mark of those who earned their wings in the most unforgiving skies of the 20th century. If you flew in-country, or you honor those who did, this patch carries the weight of that service.
Vietnam-era combat aircrew faced conditions unlike any previous conflict. Marine helicopter pilots and their crews flew UH-34s, CH-46s, and Hueys into landing zones that were often under direct enemy fire. They performed medevac extractions from jungle clearings barely wide enough for the rotor disc, resupplied outposts under siege, and inserted reconnaissance teams deep behind enemy lines. The aircrew — pilots, copilots, crew chiefs, and gunners — operated as a seamless team where every member's skill and courage meant the difference between life and death. Their service spanned from the early days of Operation Shufly in 1962 through the final evacuations of 1975.
Perfect For:
Vietnam helicopter veterans, combat aircrew, Marine aviation historians, military patch collectors, Vietnam-era memorabilia enthusiasts, and families honoring their veterans
They flew where others wouldn't. They brought them home when no one else could.
