The UH-1N Twin Huey served Marine Corps units during Operation Iraqi Freedom, continuing the legendary Huey lineage in combat. Marine UH-1 crews provided utility transport, command and control, and armed escort missions across the Iraqi theater, operating alongside the AH-1W Super Cobra as the utility half of the HMLA team. This ribbon patch combines the Iraq campaign service ribbon with the helicopter that has been synonymous with Marine utility aviation for generations.
