UH-34 Patch — Sikorsky UH-34 Seahorse/Dog Embroidered Patch

UH-34 — the workhorse helicopter that carried Marines into combat in Vietnam.

The Sikorsky UH-34D Seahorse (commonly called the "Dog") was the Marine Corps' primary assault transport helicopter during the early years of the Vietnam War. UH-34s carried Marine infantry into landing zones throughout Vietnam's jungles, rice paddies, and mountains, often under intense enemy fire. The UH-34 was a rugged, reliable machine that could absorb punishment and keep flying. Marine UH-34 crews flew some of the most dangerous missions of the Vietnam War, inserting and extracting troops in hostile landing zones where the enemy was often waiting. The Dog served with distinction until replaced by the CH-46 Sea Knight.

Perfect For:
UH-34 Seahorse pilots and crews, Vietnam War Marine helicopter veterans, Sikorsky H-34 enthusiasts, Marine assault transport aviation historians, and vintage USMC rotary-wing patch collectors.

UH-34 Dog. Vietnam workhorse.
