USS Peleliu LHA-5 — US Navy Embroidered Patch
Pax per Potens — Peace Through Strength
USS Peleliu (LHA-5) carried the name of one of the bloodiest battles in the Pacific War, projecting Marine power from the sea for over three decades. This officially licensed patch represents the sailors and Marines who served aboard the last Tarawa-class amphib.
USS Peleliu (LHA-5), the last of the Tarawa-class amphibious assault ships, was commissioned in 1980. Named after the Battle of Peleliu in 1944, the ship deployed Marine Expeditionary Units worldwide, participating in operations from the Persian Gulf to humanitarian relief missions across the Pacific. Peleliu was decommissioned in 2015 after 35 years of distinguished service.
Perfect For:
USS Peleliu veterans, Tarawa-class LHA sailors, MEU Marines, and amphibious assault ship heritage collectors.
