USS Saipan (LHA-2) carried the motto "We Do All Things" and proved it across decades of deployments from humanitarian relief to combat operations. This patch represents the versatile crew that could do it all.
USS Saipan (LHA-2) was a Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship commissioned in 1977. Named after the Battle of Saipan in World War II, the ship deployed Marine Expeditionary Units worldwide, participating in operations from Grenada to Lebanon to Operation Desert Storm and humanitarian missions across the globe. Saipan was decommissioned in 2007.
