Marine Corps Base Quantico, located in Prince William County, Virginia, is known as the Crossroads of the Marine Corps. The base is home to the Marine Corps Combat Development Command, The Basic School, Officer Candidates School, Marine Corps University, and numerous other training and education commands. Every Marine officer passes through Quantico, and the base serves as the Corps' center of gravity for professional military education and warfighting concept development.
