Naval Air Station Dallas, located at Hensley Field in Grand Prairie, Texas, served the Navy as a reserve aviation facility for decades. The station hosted multiple reserve fighter, attack, and transport squadrons, providing the trained reserve aviators and maintainers that the Navy needed to augment its active force. NAS Dallas was an important part of the Navy's nationwide reserve aviation network until its closure.
