VAQ-135 Black Ravens Sticker — Electronic Warfare's Finest
If you can see it, the Black Ravens already jammed it.
VAQ-135 "Black Ravens" is a United States Navy Electronic Attack Squadron operating the EA-18G Growler out of NAS Whidbey Island, Washington. Established in 1969 at NAS Alameda, the squadron originally flew the EKA-3B Skywarrior, providing electronic warfare and aerial refueling support to carrier air wings during Vietnam. After transitioning to the EA-6B Prowler in 1974, the Black Ravens became the first fleet EA-6B ICAP squadron and went on to participate in Operation Praying Mantis against Iranian naval forces, Operation Desert Storm, and Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. In 2011, VAQ-135 transitioned to the EA-18G Growler, and in 2012, they conducted the first EA-18G expeditionary deployment into Afghanistan. With a callsign of "Thunder" and over five decades of jamming enemy air defenses, the Black Ravens remain one of the most decorated electronic attack squadrons in the fleet.
Perfect For: VAQ-135 Black Ravens sailors and veterans, EA-18G Growler community, EA-6B Prowler alumni, NAS Whidbey Island squadrons, electronic warfare officers and operators, and anyone who believes the best fight is one the enemy never saw coming.
