USMC 2nd Marine Logistics Group Patch — USMC Embroidered Patch
Sustain the Fight — 2nd Marine Logistics Group
Every round fired, every vehicle fueled, every casualty evacuated on the East Coast side of the Marine Corps runs through 2nd Marine Logistics Group. This patch represents the logisticians, maintainers, supply Marines, engineers, and medical professionals who keep II Marine Expeditionary Force ready to fight anywhere in the world.
2nd Marine Logistics Group (2nd MLG) traces its lineage through a series of redesignations reflecting the evolution of Marine Corps logistics. The unit's predecessor, the 2nd Force Service Support Group (2nd FSSG), was based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and provided combat service support to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and II Marine Expeditionary Force. On 21 October 2005, 2nd FSSG was redesignated as 2nd Marine Logistics Group. The group has deployed extensively in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, providing sustained logistics operations across Iraq's Al Anbar Province and Afghanistan's Helmand Province. 2nd MLG's subordinate units include combat logistics battalions, a maintenance battalion, a combat logistics regiment, a dental battalion, and support elements that together form the logistics combat element of II MEF — the nation's expeditionary force in readiness on the East Coast.
Perfect For: 2nd MLG and former 2nd FSSG veterans, Camp Lejeune logistics Marines, II MEF support personnel, OIF and OEF logistics veterans, and anyone who understands that combat power starts with logistics.
Sustain the fight. 2nd MLG — always ready.
