US Army 281st Wolf Pack Patch

The Wolf Pack ran with the most dangerous missions in Vietnam.

The 281st Assault Helicopter Company, known as the "Wolf Pack," was one of the most unique and secretive Army aviation units of the Vietnam War. Operating UH-1 Hueys, the 281st provided direct aviation support to special operations forces, including the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam — Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG). Their missions included inserting and extracting reconnaissance teams deep behind enemy lines in some of the most heavily defended territory in Southeast Asia. The Wolf Pack flew where other units wouldn't — into Laos, Cambodia, and the most dangerous corners of Vietnam — earning a reputation for extraordinary courage and devastating losses. This patch preserves the legacy of one of Vietnam's most elite helicopter units.

Perfect For:
281st AHC Wolf Pack veterans, Vietnam special operations aviation personnel, MACV-SOG supporters, Army helicopter community members, and collectors of Vietnam-era special operations insignia.

The Wolf Pack — flying where others feared to go.
