1st Tank Battalion's TOW (Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided) Company provided anti-armor capability to the 1st Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force. The TOW missile system gave Marine infantry the ability to destroy enemy armor at long range, and TOW Company was the dedicated anti-tank warfare unit within the battalion. This patch represents the Marines who stood ready to stop enemy armor cold.
