The 10th Marine Regiment serves as the artillery regiment of the 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, providing indirect fire support through howitzer batteries and rocket launchers. The regiment's lineage includes fire support operations at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa in WWII, followed by deployments to Lebanon, Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Marine artillerymen — affectionately known as "Cannon Cockers" — have mastered their craft across every environment, from jungle to desert to mountains, delivering accurate, timely fire that has saved countless infantry Marines. The regiment's motto and mission haven't changed: put rounds on target when the infantry calls for fire.
