Marine Fighter Squadron 322 (VMF-322), the "Fighting Cocks" (also known as Fighting Gamecocks), was based at NAS South Weymouth and served during World War II and the Korean War. VMF-322 flew multiple fighter aircraft types, earning their Cannon Balls moniker in combat. This throwback patch celebrates the squadron's original wartime design.
