Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 (HMLA-169), the "Vipers," is a USMC light attack helicopter squadron operating the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom. This blackout PVC patch presents HMLA-169's distinctive Vipers design in an all-black subdued format, creating a tactical, low-visibility version of the squadron's identity that is perfect for operational environments or simply for those who prefer the aggressive aesthetic of a murdered-out design.
HMLA-169 provides close air support, armed escort, armed reconnaissance, and casualty evacuation to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. The AH-1Z Viper is the Marine Corps' dedicated attack helicopter, armed with a 20mm cannon, Hellfire missiles, TOW missiles, and 2.75-inch rockets, while the UH-1Y Venom provides utility helicopter support.
