**VMX-1 Immortals Sticker — Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VMX-1 — where the future of Marine aviation gets its final exam before it hits the fleet. If it flies Marine and it's new, the Immortals tested it first.
Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron One (VMX-1) is the Marine Corps' dedicated operational test squadron, based at MCAS Yuma, Arizona. Originally stood up as VMX-22 in August 2003 at MCAS New River to conduct operational testing of the revolutionary MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor, the squadron was redesignated VMX-1 in May 2016 as its mission expanded to cover all Marine aviation platforms. Today VMX-1 operates one of the most diverse aircraft inventories in the Corps — F-35B Lightning II, MV-22B Osprey, CH-53K King Stallion, AH-1Z Viper, UH-1Y Venom, and MQ-9A Reaper — conducting operational test and evaluation to ensure every system is combat-ready before it reaches the fleet. Positioned next to MAWTS-1 at Yuma, VMX-1 is where tactics, technology, and warfighting converge.
