Officially Licensed USMC HMLA-267 Stingers Squadron Sticker — Cobras and Hueys From Camp Pendleton to the Fight
The Stingers bring the Viper and the Venom to every fight. If you need close air support, call the Stingers.
Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267 (HMLA-267) — the 'Stingers' — is a United States Marine Corps light attack helicopter squadron flying the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter and the UH-1Y Venom utility helicopter from MCAS Camp Pendleton, California, under MAG-39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Stingers trace their lineage to February 15, 1944, when the squadron was commissioned at MCB Quantico as Marine Observation Squadron 5, deploying to the Pacific and participating in the Iwo Jima Campaign. Reactivated during the Vietnam War era, the squadron flew UH-1E Hueys and OV-10 Broncos before transitioning through the AH-1J Cobra, AH-1W SuperCobra, and finally becoming the first HMLA to completely transition to both the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom in 2012. HMLA-267 was diverted from a Unit Deployment Program rotation to Okinawa directly to the Persian Gulf for Operation Iraqi Freedom, where Stinger pilots were in every major firefight of the war. The squadron has been named Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron of the Year twice, in 2003 and 2017, and has provided HMLA detachments to multiple Marine Expeditionary Units and forward-deployed forces across the Pacific. This sticker captures the Stingers' identity as one of the Marine Corps' most capable and experienced light attack helicopter squadrons.
Perfect For: HMLA-267 Stingers Marines past and present, AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom community members, Camp Pendleton helicopter pilots and crew, MAG-39 personnel, and anyone who has served with the Stingers.
