Official VMM-164 Knightriders Flightline Qual Patch — USMC Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron MV-22 Osprey Patch

First CH-46 into Vietnam. First West Coast squadron to log 100,000 Sea Knight hours. Now flying the Osprey — the Knightriders keep writing history.

VMM-164 was activated in 1964 and brought the first CH-46 Sea Knights into combat when they landed at Marble Mountain Air Facility near Da Nang in March 1966. Over three and a half years in Vietnam, the Knightriders supported every major operation including Operation Hastings and Meade River. The squadron later deployed to Somalia for Operation Restore Hope, the Philippines for earthquake relief, and Operation Inherent Resolve as an MV-22B Osprey unit in 2018. Based at MCAS Camp Pendleton under MAG-39, 3rd MAW, VMM-164 transitioned from the CH-46E to the Osprey in 2015 — becoming fully operational in 2017.

• Embroidered USMC flightline qualification patch
• Dense stitching with merrowed border for professional finish
• Hook & loop backing for flight suits, tactical gear, and helmet bags
• Vibrant color-fast thread built for the flightline
• Sized for standard Velcro panels

Perfect For:
VMM-164 Marines and Knightrider alumni, MAG-39 and 3rd MAW personnel, MV-22 Osprey and CH-46 enthusiasts, and Marine aviation patch collectors. A tribute to one of the Corps' most historic squadrons.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.

If the product is officially licensed, it will say “Officially Licensed” in the title and/or in the product details. If it doesn’t, it’s still a legitimate product—just not part of a licensed program.
