This 34th anniversary patch celebrates over three decades of HMLAT-303 producing every AH-1 and UH-1 pilot in the Marine Corps. For 34 years, the Atlas has carried the weight of the entire H-1 community's training mission on its shoulders.
HMLAT-303, the Atlas, has served as the Marine Corps' sole H-1 Fleet Replacement Squadron since its establishment, training every new AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom pilot and transitioning maintainer. This 34th anniversary patch commemorates the squadron's decades of service at MCAS Camp Pendleton, where thousands of Marine aviators have earned their H-1 qualifications. The Atlas continues to evolve its training to meet the demands of modern warfare.
