HMH-466, the Wolfpack, operates the CH-53E Super Stallion out of MCAS Miramar under MAG-16 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Super Stallion is the Marine Corps' primary heavy-lift helicopter, capable of lifting 16 tons of cargo or transporting 55 combat-loaded Marines. The Wolfpack has deployed worldwide supporting Marine Expeditionary Units, combat operations, and humanitarian missions. This skull variant patch represents the squadron's warrior ethos — the mentality that drives Wolfpack Marines to accomplish the most demanding heavy-lift missions in the most austere environments on Earth.
