Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 (MAWTS-1) is the Marine Corps' center of excellence for aviation tactical training, based at MCAS Yuma, Arizona. This PVC patch brings the MAWTS-1 identity to a durable, weather-resistant format ideal for field and deployment use. MAWTS-1's Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course is the most demanding tactical training program in Marine aviation, producing graduates who return to their squadrons as tactical experts across every platform — fixed-wing, rotary-wing, tiltrotor, and unmanned.
