HMM-773 — the Reserve medium helicopter squadron that later became the HMLA-773 Red Dogs.
HMM-773 was a Marine Corps Reserve medium helicopter squadron under the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, operating the CH-46 Sea Knight before the Marine Corps' reorganization of Reserve helicopter assets. The squadron's lineage eventually led to HMLA-773 "Red Dogs," which mobilized and deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
