Moonlight — HMM-764's Reserve Phrog squadron, flying under the California moon.
HMM-764 "Moonlight" was a Marine Corps Reserve medium helicopter squadron operating the CH-46 Sea Knight under the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing. Based in California, HMM-764 provided trained and ready CH-46 crews to augment the active duty medium helicopter force. The "Moonlight" nickname gave the squadron a distinctive identity among Reserve aviation units. HMM-764 later transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey and redesignated as VMM-764.
